Me and a little town’s waterfront in southwest Germany near Swiss border. The historic hydropower station shown in the background was built in 1898 and was unfortunately demolished in December 2010. This Self-portrait is in memoriam of that very special building, it was the world’s first hydropower station that produced electrical power with 50 Hz.

Über mich
Lutz Wohlrab wurde 1959 in Greifswald geboren. Er studierte Medizin und arbeitet heute als Psychoanalytiker in eigener Praxis in Berlin. In der Mail Art-Szene ist er seit 1985 aktiv. Er nahm am Berliner Treffen des 1. Dezentralen Mail Art-Congresses 1986 teil und organisierte den Berliner Teil des 2. Dezentralen Mail Art-Congresses 1992 (Post-DDR-Mail-Art-Congress). Mail Art-Projekte: "Animals – as which do you feel yourself and others?" 1986/87 (Faltblatt), ausgestellt 1990 in Weimar, "Post-DDR-Mail-Art-Congress" 1992 in Berlin (Katalog), 2005 Umfrage zu Ray Johnson (Faltblatt Seite 1 Seite 2) und "A Mail Art-Project to Sigmund Freuds 150th Anniversary", ausgestellt 2006 in der Kunstbibliothek der Staatlichen Museen Berlin (Faltblatt Seite 1 Seite 2). Eigene Ausstellungen in Greifswald 1990, in Berlin (Art Skrike Cafe) 1991 und (Grafikdruckerei Streupresse) 1994 und im Kurhaus Dangast 1992. Beteiligt u.a. an den Ausstellungen: "Mail Art Osteuropa - im internationalen Netzwerk" im Staatlichen Museum Schwerin 1996, "… keine Kunst? Mail Art-Projekte" im Museum für Post und Kommunikation Berlin 1997 sowie "Mail Art Saarland — DDR: Schmuggelgut oder Kassiber?", Saarländische Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Saarbrücken 2000 und in der Universitätsbibliothek Leipzig 2001.
